Here are the results of the Multnomah County Library survey on funding.

The survey, which closed Tuesday, July 31 at 5 p.m. was part the county's month-long effort to gather the public's views on how to best fund library services. More than 20,000 people responded to the survey. The county also heard from residents at a series of five public meetings held at library branches across the county and a public hearing held on Tuesday, July 31.

The Board of Commissioners will vote at its regular meeting on Thursday, Aug. 2, on whether to refer a library district to voters in November 2012. The meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. at 501 S.E. Hawthorne Blvd. in Portland.
