Urban farms bring food and opportunity to the community

Recently, Community Farming Coordinator Dan Bravin (a.k.a. “Farmer Dan”) sat down with Radio Launchpad to talk about Multnomah County’s efforts to promote urban farming. From turning fallow, county-owned land into a farm that provides fresh produce to a local food bank (County CROPS), to offering foreclosed properties to local organizations for community gardens (County Digs!), the county has launched innovative programs to increase access to fresh, healthy food.
