Julie Hollister-Smith is a volunteer with Multnomah County Animal Services and winner of a 2015 Volunteer Recognition Award.
“Julie became a cattery volunteer in January of 2013. She volunteers every other Sunday. While she volunteers, she also mentors new volunteers that are new to the cattery. Julie has worked in the surgery suite assisting the vet techs with various animal related needs. Last year during a mentor’s meeting, the subject of a new, updated cattery manual was mentioned. Julie volunteered to make that happen. This manual is better than ever! She mentioned to me the other day that she would like to update it again. Way to go, Julie!”
