Welcome to Mamuk Tillikums, the newest addition to Multnomah County's Employee Resource Groups!
Our name, Mamuk Tillikums, reflects our commitment to fostering a sense of community and collaboration. In the Chinook language, "Mamuk Tillikums" translates to "work friends," embodying the spirit of camaraderie and support that defines our group.
Established in October 2023, Mamuk Tillikums is proud to be the first Native American/Alaskan Native ERG within the County. Our members have deep connections to our Indigenous cultures, traditions, and communities, enriching our collective experience and perspective.
At Mamuk Tillikums, our mission is clear: to unite employees, address workplace inequities, and serve as key stakeholders in helping the County shape policies and practices that reflect the needs of our diverse workforce. We strive to create a supportive environment where Indigenous employees can thrive, grow, and succeed together.
