I love the transition from summer to autumn here in the Pacific Northwest. Just before the heavy rain hit, I enjoyed a sunny Saturday tabling at the Rosewood Initiative’s Saturday Celebrations. I got to talk with Multnomah County residents about the redistricting process and share information on what our office does. I also ate amazing local food, checked out the offerings of talented artisans, and listened to a live DJ and live music. Like so many of us, the COVID-19 pandemic has deepened my appreciation for how important it is for us to be able to gather as a community and connect with one another. Thank you to the Rosewood Initiative for putting on a great event, and for hosting a COVID-19 vaccination clinic! Read on to learn more about how you can give me feedback on county-level redistricting and how you can apply to serve on the Multnomah County Salary Commission. And stay tuned - I’m about to release a status evaluation report on recommendations made in our first audit of the county’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, my team is busy completing an audit on jail conditions, and we continue on with our second set of audits of the county’s response to the pandemic, which focus on contact tracing and cost recovery.
Best,
Jennifer

As Multnomah County Auditor, I’m in charge of redistricting Multnomah County commissioner districts.I’d love to hear about what matters to you in your local redistricting process! I’ve got three questions for you. You can respond to the questions online, email me your audio or video answers, or print them out and mail them to me. I'll be taking responses through October 15, 2021.
