Juvenile Court Counselors (JCCs) are specialists who supervise immediate and long-term needs for youths and families following a juvenile arrest. Every juvenile arrested in Multnomah County is assigned a JCC.

JCCs are trained in evidence-based case management strategies to:

  • Complete assessments and case planning with youth and families
  • Provide accountability and services to youth in the community
  • Respond quickly to supervision violations

JCCs meet with families, schools and other important members of the youth support system to identify a youth's level of risk, and, develop an action plan that will interrupt their pattern of illegal and harmful behavior.
