Accessibility Information for the Auditor's Open House events

Accessibility Information

Virtual access

We will have a virtual open house on September 26. Our in-person open house on September 18 will not have a virtual component. We'll share the same information at both events.

Getting to the Multnomah Building

Accessible parking is available on Grand Ave, 6th Street, and in the parking garage across the street from the building on Hawthorne. Non-ADA parking is available for a fee in the parking garage, as well as in metered and unmetered street parking nearby.

Transit: Trimet bus lines 2, 10, and 14 (eastbound) stop across from the building on SE Hawthorne (stop ID 2594), Trimet bus lines 2, 10, and 14 (westbound) stop on SE Madison (stop ID 3633), Trimet bus line 6 (northbound) stops at Grand Ave and Main St (stop ID 2170), Street Car B line (northbound) stops on Grand Ave next to the building (stop ID 13616)
Covered bicycle parking is available near the main door of the Multnomah Building.

Checking in

Staff from the Auditor’s Office will meet visitors in the Lobby. We will pass the security desk. Emotional support animals are unfortunately not allowed in the building. There will be a security officer for the day of the event on the 6th floor.

COVID safety

We welcome anyone to wear a mask. We will have some KN95 masks available at the event. Our office conference room and main area have several HEPA filters and hand sanitizer.

Wheelchair access

The Multnomah Building, Board Room, and our office are wheelchair accessible. The accessible building entrance is located on the corner of Grand Ave and Hawthorne. Entrance doors have automatic door openers.

Sensory information

Our office has several small lounge areas where anyone can sit during the open house for a moment. We have a medley of stim toys available in those areas. Our office has overhead fluorescent lighting and some soundproofing to minimize noise from outside the office. For those attending the virtual open house, we don’t require participants to have their cameras on and we are happy to answer questions through the “raise hand” function and in the chat.

Written materials and captions

Our virtual event includes auto-captioning access through Google Meet. The virtual event will also be recorded and will be available for future viewing. At the in-person open house, our presenters will use microphones.

Our website is accessible to screen readers and includes links to versions of our reports that are as well.

Bathrooms

There are all-gender bathrooms available on the 1st floor. If you need access to an all gender bathroom, staff from the auditor’s office can walk you to the 2nd floor.
