Archives from past Charter Review Committees (MCCRC)
Oregon passed a constitutional amendment allowing for Home Rule Charters in 1958. Multnomah County established a Home Rule Charter Committee in 1964 to draft the original Multnomah County Home Rule Charter, which was completed and approved by voters in 1966. Since then, the Charter Review Committee has been convened approximately every six years to study the Multnomah County Charter and submit proposed amendments to the voters of Multnomah County. The next Charter Review Committee will convene in 2027-2028.
