Multnomah County is a member of the Sustainable Purchasing Leadership Council that brings organizations together to improve environmental, social, and economic performance within their supply chains across the entirety of product and service life cycles.
Responsible business practices at Multnomah County are driven by the Triple Bottom Line of Sustainability. If you are looking to do business with the County and are completing a solicitation/sourcing event, we have provided definitions and examples of the sustainability for you.The Triple Bottom Line of Sustainability is defined as practices that are environmentally friendly, socially equitable and, provides positive economic impacts for our community. 

Our suppliers are an integral part of the communities in which they operate. Their influence extends to the employees they depend upon, the environment from which they draw their resources, and the marketplace in which they participate. Multnomah County seeks to conduct business with suppliers who demonstrate responsible business practices through sustainable innovations.
