Sarah Hurwitz is the public information officer for Multnomah County Transportation
Sarah Hurwitz is Multnomah County's Transportation Public Information Officer. In her role, she relays important information to the community on upcoming and current transportation projects that impact Multnomah County's roads and bridges.

Sarah came to the county after nearly a decade reporting for television stations across the country, including nearly four years at KPTV in Portland, her hometown. Sarah is thrilled to continue her passion for community and storytelling through her work at the county.

Before returning to the Rose City, Sarah also reported in Grand Rapids, Michigan where she was nominated for an Emmy and named "Best News Reporter" by the Michigan Association of Broadcasters for her investigative reporting. In her reporting career she covered everything from the political tension in the weeks leading up to a historic resignation of Oregon's governor, multiple breaking news situations including massive wildfires that destroyed Oregon cities, violent protests and the gun violence epidemic in the Portland-metro area.

Sarah graduated from Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications with a bachelor's degree in Broadcast and Digital Journalism. In her free time, she loves running, hiking and exploring the outdoors. A tea connoisseur of sorts, she also enjoys finding new local tea shops.
