This is a standalone job profile and is not part of a series. Positions in this job profile dispatch and schedule facilities and property management personnel to respond to reported problems and failures in county owned and leased buildings.
Job description

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

  • Receive facilities and maintenance requests concerning problems in county owned and leased buildings; secure and record information such as nature of problem, location, and other necessary information; determine the urgency of service requests and dispatch service.
  • Generate work orders and track from initial receipt to operational closure.
  • Establish prioritization and coordinate trade assignment depending on severity of the call; adjust priority of requests; catalog and track after hour’s calls.
  • Contact clients for additional information and data; notify clients of any changes to work schedule.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Facilities Maintenance Dispatch/Scheduler

Training and experience for journey level, trades classifications are typically equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade and one (1) to four (4) years of experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. (Equivalency 1-4 years of qualifying training and/or experience).

Depending upon assignment, candidates may be required to pass a criminal background check, have a valid driver license, and/or additional training, licenses, or certificates.
