There will be more bridge lifts next week on the Hawthorne and Morrison bridges for biennial inspections of the movable bridge equipment. 

Feb. 23-24

On Monday, Feb. 23 and Tuesday, Feb. 24, expect more bridge lifts on the Hawthorne Bridge for electrical and mechanical inspections. Lifts will last 15-20 minutes throughout the day. Expect traffic delays and use alternative routes. 

Feb. 25-26

On Wednesday, Feb. 25 and Thursday, Feb. 26, expect more bridge lifts on the Morrison Bridge for electrical and mechanical inspections. Lifts will last 15-20 minutes throughout the day. Expect traffic delays and use alternative routes. 

There will be no bridge closures for these inspections. 

Multnomah County maintains five Willamette River bridges: the Sellwood, Hawthorne, Morrison, Burnside and Broadway Bridges as well as the Wapato Bridge over the Multnomah Channel. For information, visit: https://www.multco.us/bridges.
