On Sunday, June 29, the Hawthorne Bridge will be closed to all motorized vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for maintenance work. Crews will be greasing the counterweight cables which is part of regular maintenance for the bridge. Use alternative routes. This is rescheduled work due to last weekend’s rain. Throughout the week leading up to the closure, there will be intermittent lane closures on the bridge as crews prepare equipment for Sunday’s maintenance work.
