On Sunday, August 27 the Hawthorne Bridge will be closed to all motorized vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for maintenance work. Crews will be greasing the counterweight cables which is part of regular maintenance for the bridge. Use alternative routes. This closure is not weather dependent. Multnomah County maintains the Hawthorne, Morrison, Burnside, Broadway, Sellwood and Sauvie Island bridges on the Willamette River. For information, visit: https://www.multco.us/bridges.
