Share your input on how to make east County roads safer

Multnomah County and local city governments are asking for the community’s feedback on how to make east County roads safer. Your voice matters! That survey is now live and open through July 31. Take the survey and be entered to win a $50 grocery store gift card!

The virtual open house and survey are available in multiple languages:

This survey is part of the second phase of public outreach for the East Multnomah County Transportation Safety Action Plan (TSAP). The County is asking for community feedback on the top 10 safety priority roads and improvements in East Multnomah County.

Research-supported improvements outlined in the virtual open house and survey, address safety concerns and feedback from more than 1000 community members and community partners. These changes will reduce traffic deaths, crashes and close calls.

“More than 1000 residents participated during the first phase of public outreach and now we’re using that input to shape the recommendations we’re putting forward,” Multnomah County Transportation Planning Manager Allison Boyd said.

Background: The survey input will help shape how Multnomah County, the cities of Gresham, Fairview, Wood Village, Troutdale and the Portland Metro Regional Government create a Transportation Safety Action Plan. The plan will create a roadmap to work towards a safe transportation future in east Multnomah County and list specific projects to get us there. The planning process, funded by the federal Safe Streets for All (SS4A) Program, aims to significantly reduce or eliminate roadway fatalities and serious injuries for everyone, including people walking and biking, public transportation users, motorists and people using wheelchairs or other mobility devices. The final plan is expected to be complete in fall 2025.
