Save a life with a two-week commitment.
Multnomah County Animal Services is hosting Cat-Stravaganza, a free cat foster training event on Wednesday, May 4, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Kenton Library, 8226 N. Denver, in Portland.
With “Kitten Season” beginning next month, Cat-Stravaganza provides the opportunity to reduce euthanasia by opening your home to a young kitten or adult cat with special needs.
“As the only public shelter in Multnomah County, we cared for 5,300 sick, lost, injured, stray and feral cats that County residents brought to the shelter last year,” says John Rowton, Multnomah County Animal Services Shelter Manager.
“In anticipation of the shelter receiving more than 30 cats and kittens a day this summer, finding qualified foster homes is a top priority for us.”
This no-cost event is geared toward the whole family. RSVPs are appreciated, but not required. Light refreshments will be provided. To learn more or to RSVP, email michelle.simpson@multco.us.
