Youth Environmental & Transit Grant Funding - Get up to $7,500

The Multnomah Youth Commission’s Transit Equity and Environmental Advocacy committee is deeply concerned with the critical issues of transit inequity and climate change. Both have a disproportionately large impact on historically marginalized people, especially low-income families and youth displaced into transit deserts or high-pollution areas by infrastructure developments within Multnomah, Washington, and Clackamas counties. With generous support from the Oregon Community Foundation, we will issue grants up to $7,500 to community or youth-led organizations focused on improving the lives of youth with projects geared towards reducing the impacts of the climate crisis through education, direct action, or community organizing. Projects that are led or co-led by youth (ages 13-21) will be prioritized.

REQUIREMENTS:
1. Project must be focused on youth

2. Must address climate or transit inequity at some level

3. Project must serve Multnomah, Clackamas, or Washington Counties

4. School, group, or organization must be able to provide 501(c)(3) documentation

DUE: Tuesday, January 21st at 11:59PM.
PLEASE NOTE: Once this application is started, it is recommended to submit in one sitting, though you can go back and edit your response if needed after you submit.
