Youth in working together

Help shape our Youth Bill of Rights!

Twenty years ago, nearly 3,000 young people across our region helped create the nation's first Youth Bill of Rights, which was endorsed by Multnomah County and the City of Portland. Now it's time to update it, and the Multnomah Youth Commission is asking youth in the region to shape what comes next!

Multnomah Youth Commission 2025-2026

The Multnomah Youth Commission (MYC), the official youth policy body for both Multnomah County and the City of Portland, is a group of young people, ages 13-21, that strives to provide a voice for youth in the County & City's work.

Housed within the Multnomah County Chair’s Office of Diversity and Equity and the City of Portland’s Office of Community and Civic Life, the MYC works to change policy affecting young people, as well as negative community perception about youth.
