Project Description
We are replacing the control system that helps operate the Hawthorne Bridge. This includes the computer that allows us to send instructions, the drives that use those instructions to move the drawbridge, and other controls.
We are also upgrading the electrical system before upgrading the control system.
The new system will be more reliable. It will be easier to use and maintain. It will also provide more data to monitor the health of the bridge and give feedback to bridge operators.
Traffic Impacts
There will be daytime lane closures from Monday, March 31 through Wednesday, April 2.
The bridge will be closed to all traffic from Thursday, April 3 through Sunday, April 6.
