Multnomah County Transportation’s Safer Sandy Project survey is now live. Your voice matters! Take the survey to help weigh in on the future of N.E. Sandy Boulevard between N.E. 230th Avenue and N.E. 201st Avenue.

Do you walk, bike, roll, drive, use a mobility device or take transit on this section of N.E. Sandy Boulevard? Multnomah wants to hear from you!

“This section of Sandy Boulevard is a changing community and needs to be updated to cater to the people who use it today,” Multnomah County Safer Sandy Project Manager Arini Farrell said. “This County planning project is focused on listening to the community and improving the safety of the corridor based on that feedback.”

The survey is available in EnglishSpanishUkrainian and Russian and is open through June 4, 2025.

Sandy Boulevard connects to local businesses, neighborhoods and jobs in Gresham, Fairview and Wood Village. Right now, the road is missing some crucial safety features including sidewalks, bike lanes and crosswalks. Safer Sandy, is an estimated $500,000 Multnomah County Transportation Planning project which is funded through Oregon Metro’s Regional Flexible Funding Allocation. The County aims to develop a plan to make N.E. Sandy Boulevard between N.E. 230th Avenue and N.E. 201st Avenue safer for everyone to use. This project is a partnership between Multnomah County, the City of Gresham and the City of Fairview. For project information, visit: https://multco.us/info/safer-sandy.
