Before you start
If you do not receive your original ballot, if you lose your ballot, or if it is badly damaged, you can order a replacement.
The easiest way to request a replacement is to order it online. You can also call us at 503-988-VOTE (8683) or visit the Multnomah County Elections office to request one in person.
This page is for Multnomah County registered voters who need to get a replacement ballot. If your residence is in another county, please contact your county Elections office.
What to do
1. Order a replacement ballot online
Fill out the order ahead replacement form. We will notify you when it is ready.
We will ask you for contact information, your date of birth and residential address.
2. Choose how you will get your replacement ballot
You can have it mailed to you or you can pick it up in person.

3. Wait for confirmation that your replacement ballot is ready
You will receive two emails. Please wait until you receive the second email stating your ballot is ready before you come in. When it is ready, come anytime during office hours.
4. Pick up your replacement ballot
Check your email to make sure you go to the right location.
When you arrive, go to the "will call" window to pick up your ballot. We will look up your name to find your ballot. A valid ID is not required but can be helpful.
Pick up a ballot for someone else
If you plan to pick up a replacement ballot for another person, that person must give you written permission to do so. Bring both:
- The form below authorizing you to pick up the ballot, or a signed note containing the same information, and
- Your valid ID

Get a replacement ballot mailed to me
The deadline to request a replacement ballot mailed to your home is May 13th at 7PM. After that time, replacement ballots are only available for pick up at will call in person.
Mismarked Ballot
If you make a mistake or change your mind while marking your ballot, you may correct it yourself. For instructions on how to correct your ballot, visit the Voting Instructions page or see pages M24-M30 of your Voters' Pamphlet.
