The Board of Commissioner on Thursday, Dec. 15, approved an ordinance banning the sale of flavored tobacco and nicotine products in Multnomah County and will become effective on Jan. 1, 2024.
Multnomah County Budget Office forecasts deficit in fiscal year 2024 amid recession risk, inflation and higher personnel costs
The forecast anticipates a deficit of $2.6 million for fiscal year 2024, which starts July 1, 2023, and lasts through June 30, 2024. The deficit is expected to grow to $15.4 million by FY 2028.
