Multnomah County is experiencing more frequent extreme weather events, longer and more intense wildfire seasons, and poor air quality. For our community to handle and thrive amidst these challenges, it is vital to build our climate resilience.
To strengthen our communities and adapt to a changing climate, the Multnomah County Office of Sustainability aims to provide information to help people:
- Understand local climate impacts;
- Know the risks to our health and our neighborhoods;
- Identify steps to care for themselves, others, and homes;
- Be prepared during an extreme weather event;
- Get or stay connected with others doing resilience-building work;
- Take action on addressing climate change; and
- Get help during a crisis caused by climate change.
