The court-mandated course “Parents Helping Children Cope with Family Change” offers information about legal issues, child development, conflict resolution strategies and community resources for people with custody and parenting time issues before the court.
This class is required for people with a domestic relations matter such as divorce with children or custody before the court (ORS 3.425).
The fee for the class is $70 per person. Please pay the fee and schedule your class online. If the online form does not work properly, you can register by phone at 503-988-3037.
You can also make payment and register for a class by calling Family Court Services at 503.988.3037, or come to our office in Room 350 at the Multnomah County Courthouse, 1021 SW 4th Ave., Portland, OR 97204.
Language interpretation-assisted classes are available at no additional charge at various times the second Friday per month at the Multnomah County Courthouse – 1021 SW 4th Ave., Room 350. Please call our office to arrange for language interpretation or other special accommodation.
If you are at or close to the poverty line and have a case in Multnomah County, you may qualify to have your fees waived. To apply for a fee waiver, download a copy of the , fill it out completely, and email (firstname.lastname@example.org), fax (503.988.3232), mail or bring your signed form to:
