Program Description

This program utilizes authority granted by the State Board of Parole and Post-Prison Supervision to conduct hearings, impose sanctions, and make other recommendations to releasing authorities.

Electronic Information Systems

The program uses the Hearings Information Tracking System (HITS) and the Sanctions Tracking system to track justice-involved individuals' information. The tracking information in these systems that is not duplicated in other records series should be maintained for 3 years. (MOAR 166-150-0025(2))

Parole Hearing Records (ASD5-001)

Documents Morrisey hearings (common name for hearings held to determine disposition of persons who have violated the terms of their parole) held by the department. Records include parole and probation chronological reports, Parole Board authorization to hold justice-involved individual, parole board order of revocation/sanction, violation hearing action sheet, hearing findings, decision of rights, order of supervision, and related correspondence.
Retention: Retain 4 years after closed. (OAR 255-075-0056(2))

Sanctions Reports (ASD5-002)

Used to input sanction information into the sanction tracking database. Shows offender demographic information, type of sanction, length of sanction, hearing information, and disposition.
Retention: Retain 3 years. (MOAR 166-150-0025(2))
