Retention Schedules

In accordance with Oregon public records requirements, records retention schedules describe the types of records created and maintained by Multnomah County.

Retention schedules are developed and maintained by Records and Archives. Retention schedules are based on legal, fiscal, administrative, and historic value and conform to the minimum retention periods defined in OAR 166-150.

Note that retention schedules do not require the creation of a given record, nor do they necessarily list records currently available.
