"I wanted to work closer to home and meanwhile give back to my community the best way I know how."

Solo Fatu, Program Supervisor

What sets Multnomah County apart in your view?

Multnomah County cares about their employees and values the work that we do. They provide many opportunities to grow in your career. I started as an Eligibility Worker (Case Manager 1), promoted to a Case Manager 2 with the Developmental Disabilities Division, and a Case Manager Senior with Aging and Disability Services before becoming a Program Supervisor.

Every manager I have worked with has knocked my socks off. They were always willing to answer questions, took the time to ask me how I was doing and made me feel very comfortable. If you needed additional help they would sit with you to help you understand. The managers provide the resources and trainings you need to be successful.

Why does This Work Matter to you?

As Program Supervisor, I have the opportunity to pay forward what was given to me by Multnomah County as a whole, but especially from management. I wanted to work closer to home and meanwhile give back to my community the best way I know how. By giving our workers great customer service and providing them with the tools they need to be successful, I am now able to do that. I love what I do and I have been so happy since I have been with Multnomah County.
