Objectives

  1. Determine if departments and offices are purchasing, safeguarding, tracking, reconciling, and distributing gift cards in accordance with county policy.
  2. Assess Treasury's oversight over County gift cards.

Scope

The scope includes more detailed reviews of gift card practices at the Health Department, the Department of County Human Services (DCHS), and the Department of Community Justice (DCJ). It includes limited reviews at the Library, the District Attorney’s Office (DA), and the Office of District Two Commissioner (D2).

The review is for the time period of FY25 and FY26 (to date).
