Now through July 1 -
How to access emergency rent assistance:
Now through June 30, 2026, you can access eviction prevention through our Bienestar de la Familia program by contacting 211info and ask for emergency rent assistance to prevent eviction:
By Phone: Call 2-1-1
Email: help@211info.org
*Please Note: During periods of high demand, 211Info may temporarily pause intake of new referrals after weekly capacity has been reached. If you are told referrals are closed, please try contacting 211Info again the next business week.
Starting in July - How to access emergency rent assistance:
Beginning in July, additional emergency rent assistance funded by the City of Portland, Multnomah County, and the State will also be available through additional community-based providers. Multnomah County will update this website to provide additional details on the increased provider list and contact information in late June.
If you are facing eviction after July 1, you can contact 211info to be connected with support for rent assistance or legal service providers.
To be eligible for the program, you must:
- Be a resident of the City of Portland.
- Have a household income at or below 65% of Area Median Income (AMI). (Income is based on a snapshot of current income at the time of application, and includes the current gross income of all household members, or the household's total income for the full calendar year before intake.)
- Have an eviction notice.
We Know Need is High and Funding is Limited. The City and County recognize that the cost of rent, food, utilities, and fuel continue to grow, making it difficult to make ends meet. We anticipate that demand for these resources is much higher than the money available. This means that the call volume for these resources is high and you may need to leave a message with 211 for a call back.
