Camelia Hanson, an Oregon native and Eugene transplant, brings more than a decade of experience engaging directly with the Portland community. With a strong background in hospitality management, she has built expertise in leadership, operations, and high-level customer service through 13 years in Portland’s hospitality and events industry.

Camelia earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Science with a minor in Psychology from Portland State University, where she developed a deep understanding of people, systems, and community dynamics. Her professional experience reflects a commitment to fostering meaningful connections, supporting teams, and creating spaces where people feel heard and cared for.

In her role as Executive Assistant and Office Manager, Camelia brings a community-centered perspective and operational excellence to the Commissioner’s office. She looks forward to expanding her engagement with local government and contributing to the community she proudly calls home.
