Become a LPSCC Community Representative

Volunteer with LPSCC

The Multnomah County LPSCC has three seats for community members. 

There is currently one vacant seat. To be considered for this volunteer position, please read and complete the application by Wednesday, September 16th.  Applicants will be notified of next steps by late fall.  This term will last from the time of appointment through December 2027. 

Minimum qualifications:

  • Resides in Multnomah County 
  • Can attend monthly meetings (currently the afternoon of the 4th Monday from 1:30-3pm)
  • Has experience with or knowledge of the criminal legal system
  • Demonstrates some understanding of policy and/or experience working with policy-makers

Preference will be given to applicants who show they have:

  • First-hand knowledge of the criminal legal system (per the bylaws, this includes those who have experienced harm or loss, and those who have navigated system involvement personally or within their families)
  • An understanding of how the criminal legal system impacts BIPOC communities
