About the CBAC Recommendation Letters

The Community Budget Advisory Committees (CBACs) write annual letters regarding their department, departments, or offices' anticipated budgets. These letters are shared with their departmental leadership and the Board of County Commissioners, and are made available to the general public on this page. These letters are one part of the process to arrive at the county's budget - learn more about the county budget process and how to get involved.

Please note: CBACs Speak contains all of the recommendations made by the Community Budget Advisory Committees. The letters are labeled for the Fiscal Year (FY) that they advise on. Fiscal Years at Multnomah County run from July-June and are named for the second calendar year. Meaning that, for example, the letter for Fiscal Year 2027 (FY27) was crafted by the CBAC in 2025-2026, advising on the budget for Fiscal Year 2027 (2026-2027).
