Nsilo (nuh-say-low, he/him) grew up in the Midwest where he learned the importance of community engagement, sustainability, and developed and interest in STEM education. He attended Drexel University in Philadelphia followed by graduate school at Portland State University. He is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Public Policy from the University College of London in the United Kingdom. Nsilo has work experience in the built environment field and previously researched the impact of toxic building materials on community health. He now oversees the Physical Activity and Built Environment Program for Multnomah County REACH and is driven by a vast ambition to help realize systemic change in racial and environmental justice.
In his free time, Nsilo enjoys sporting events, outdoor excursions and live theater. He also has a passion for travel and tries to incorporate community volunteer work in his globetrotting. If you meet Nsilo, tell him about your own travel stories. He will likely ask about the best thing you ate.
