The images below show the approximate areas covered by this restriction. If your project or temporary traffic control falls within this area, you must contact us before you begin. We may have requirements that will change your design, modify your traffic control, or require protections for the structures.
For development or design items with the City of Portland, please contact us for concurrent review and approval.
For any other proposed activity, please contact us at least 14 days before field work or as soon as possible.
For emergency work, please contact us as soon as possible.
This includes, but is not limited to, activities such as:
work within a tax lot adjacent to the structures that affects access to the structures;
any excavation within 10 feet of a bridge column or approach wall; and
placing signs and traffic devices on sidewalks or bike lanes, or attaching them to bridge elements.
After you contact us, we will review your project and determine if a right-of-way permit is required.
