Using WIC benefits to buy food is easy. When you sign up for WIC, you’ll get a card that works like a debit card to buy food at the register.

When you shop at the store, use the free WICShopper app on your phone to check your food benefit balance and which foods you can buy.

For the third time in 50 years, WIC food packages are getting a major update!

Starting July 1, 2025, families will enjoy more flexibility, options and choice to support a healthy diet.

  • Kids (ages 13 months - 5 years) | $29/month
  • Pregnant or just had a baby | $50/month
  • Breastfeeding | up to $55/month

What to do

  • Check the balance on your eWIC card by phone, online or by using the WICShopper app.
  • Buy fresh, frozen and canned fruit and veggies.
  • Spend your benefits before they expire at the end of the month!
