Instructions for filing a complaint regarding hauler collection services or business recycling requirements.

To file a complaint regarding hauler collection services or business recycling requirements in unincorporated Multnomah County 

Verify Jurisdiction

Verify that our office has jurisdiction at a location by completing an address search using the Multnomah County Solid Waste and Recycling map . In order for us to investigate a complaint, the address must be located within the green overlay of the map.

 

File A Complaint

*If leaving a voice message, please include your name, address, the address of the alleged code violation, and indicate if you would like the report to be marked confidential. 

 

Complainant Confidentiality

We do not accept anonymous complaints.  A complainant is required to provide their name, contact phone number, and mailing address. If the complainant wishes to submit their identifying information in confidence, they may do so. Please review our Confidentiality Policy for additional information. 

 

What happens after I file a complaint?

You will receive an email from the Code Compliance office letting you know if we are able to investigate the complaint.  See our Code Compliance Process for further information.

 

Report Illegal Dumping

Illegal dumping and other nuisances, such as accumulation of garbage or inoperable vehicles on private property, may be reported to Multnomah County Health Department Code Enforcement.
