About the Advisory Committee on Sustainability & Innovation
The Advisory Committee on Sustainability & Innovation (ACSI) provides advice and advocacy to Multnomah County on sustainability issues affecting our community, the environment, and the economy. Members of the ACSI provide recommendations on safeguarding public health in the face of extreme weather, sustainable government operations, improving social equity, and promoting a healthy, prosperous and resilient community.

Become a member of ACSI
Multnomah County's Office of Sustainability typically recruits to fill vacancies on the Advisory Committee for Sustainability & Innovation (ACSI) in November and December of each year. Information to apply will be posted on this page once the application period has begun.
History and New Membership
On October 14th, 2010, the Multnomah County Board of Commissioners adopted an ordinance formally establishing ACSI and appointed advisory members. Appointed members have expertise in a range of sustainability-related issues facing the community.
Applications for ACSI membership will be accepted annually, in late fall, and will be published to this site when open. Individuals who live or work in Multnomah County, and who are not currently employees of Multnomah County or that have or will have business contracts with the County are encouraged to apply.
