We are excited to share an opportunity for $5000 in grant funding for climate-related projects pertaining to youth.
The Multnomah Youth Commission’s Transit Equity and Environmental Advocacy committ
ee is deeply concerned with the critical issue of climate change and its disproportionately large impact on historically marginalized people, especially low-income families and youth displaced into high-pollution areas by gentrification and infrastructure improvements within Multnomah, Washington, and Clackamas counties. With generous support from the Oregon Community Foundation, Joseph E Weston Public Fund, and PGE Foundation, we will be issuing grants for up to $5000 to community or youth-led organizations focused on improving the lives of youth with projects geared towards reducing the impacts of the climate crisis through education, direct action, or organizing. Projects that are led or co-led by youth will be prioritized.
