Project Information
- Location: SE Gordon Creek Road, mile post 1.4 (see map)
- Schedule: Construction spring/summer 2026
- Estimated Cost: To be determined
- Funding Source: County Road Funds
Project Description
SE Gordon Creek Road is partially closed at mile post 1.4 (see map) after a landslide damaged the road on March 12. The slide is about 130 feet across, and reaches from the road to the Sandy River, about 75 feet below. The slide removed the road shoulder and undermined the southbound lane.
Work has begun to repair the damage underneath the road. Once that work is complete and stable, the road will be repaved and the guardrail will be re-installed.
Traffic Impacts
The southbound lane of Gordon Creek Road is closed for a few hundred feet at the slide location.
The northbound lane is open, with a temporary signal directing traffic through the closure. Speed in the work zone has been reduced to 25mph.
Flaggers may be present to provide additional traffic control for construction equipment. Please be prepared to stop and follow all signals.
