Recovering from the current recession will require massive retraining of our workforce. In a global economy, economic success will require a workforce that can also quickly adapt to changes. PCC is part of a training system that includes K-12, Four year Universities and Lifelong Learning. My goal as a PCC board member is to insure that PCC plays its part in making this system work effectively and for the benefit of the students and taxpayers of Oregon. I believe that my experience in education, workforce development and economic development will allow me to clearly understand the role PCC should take in helping us regain our economic growth.
