LORI RUTLEDGE

OCCUPATION: Humana MarketPOINT – Sales Associate – licensed January 2007 to Present

OCCUPATIONAL BACKGROUND: State Farm – licensed sales associate; Quilting Delights – sales associate; ISKY – customer service representative on Amazon.com; Fleming Foods – Loss control clerk

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND: Central Oregon Community College – 1 year; Clackamas Community College – 2 years; West Linn High School – 12 years – diploma

PRIOR GOVERNMENTAL EXPERIENCE: Reynolds Booster Club; PTA Member (2 elementary schools); West Columbia Gorge, Greater Vancouver and Gresham Chambers of Commerce; Gresham Senior Center; Veteran of Foreign Wars – Ladies Auxillary; Multiple East County Campains: Measures for Public safety, schools, candidates.

With my background in customer service and experience in the insurance industry I bring strong business skills that will be necessary to address the current fiscal condition of the district. Additionally, I bring a unique ability to access the retired population while balancing the needs of parents and children.

I have attended 31 of the last 36 school board meetings, have served as a parent volunteer at the elementary and high school level and am active in various civic groups. These connections and collaborations provide me with a distinct understanding of the position and condition of our schools that my opponent does not possess. I have voiced strong opinions in the press using my own name and have spoken at many board meetings and workshops.

A vote for me as school board member guarantees I will use my professional and personal involvement to represent the views of the entire community, not just one part of it. Voters can be assured I will continue to be a strong advocate on their behalf to make certain all views are represented in the decisions made in the near future whether it be buildings or curriculum or accountability or fiscal responsibility.

I would be honored and work hard to represent the students, parents, patrons, staff and citizens of the Reynolds District.
