Black Earth Day Stroll

April 26, 10:15 AM to 2:00 PM from Verdell Burdine Ruthford Park 16555 SE Mill St, Portland, OR 97233. This Black Earth Day Stroll brings together community leaders Kalimah Abioto (Studio Abioto), Pamela Slaughter (People of Color Outdoors), and the founding brothers of Leaders Become Legends, who will share their stories about our connectivity to trees and the natural world around us. Meet science experts Portland and Gresham Urban Forestry, and Friends of Trees, who will be there to share their savvy and answer questions about their work with the trees in our lives. We’ll break bread at Vance Park with a healthful meal, before returning to Verdell Verdine Ruthford Park. Learn more about the Black Earth Day Stroll and register.

1st and 3rd Mondays, June - October, 3-7pm at 831 SE Salmon St, Portland, OR 97214n Come Thru Market is an incubator market centering Black and Indigenous Farmers, Makers, and Friends. Wellness Class through Miracles Club

May 27 to July 1, virtual through Zoom. This six-week, self-management course is designed for adults with prediabetes, diabetes, chronic conditions and those that just want to get healthier. The course includes expert-guided 2.5-hour sessions with nutrition information and group fitness opportunities within a judgement-free zone. Participants that complete four classes will receive a $25 exercise pass and a free book (Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions). Play Grow Learn - The People's Farmers Market | Sundays

Every Sunday from June 22 through November 2, from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at the East County Courthouse lot 18480 SE Stark St 97233. Join us for a BIPOC-focused community market with up to 50 local vendors providing fresh produce, good and crafts, and free family-friendly entertainment. Free food tokens available. Juneteenth Reclaiming Black Joy 2025

June 19, 12:00 to 6:00 PM at1400 SE 182nd Ave 97233. Join us once again for and RBJ x Freedom Day! As usual, meals, games, activities, and entertainment will be provided by Multnomah County programs, our partners and vendors. Submit a request to table at Juneteenth Reclaiming Black Joy 2025.
