Project Description

We are building or replacing curb ramps around urban East Multnomah County to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act. In this project, we will construct six ramps at three different intersections.  More ramps will be upgraded as part of other road projects around East County in 2026.

This continues our project to replace all non-compliant curb ramps identified in our 2023 ADA Transition Plan (pdf, 1.21mb). Since 2023, we’ve upgraded 149 ramps.

Traffic Impacts

Sidewalk Traffic

Most ramps will close for 1-2 weeks during the work. When work begins, we will post weekly updates to This Week In Roads.

During ramp closures, signs and barriers will direct pedestrians to detours.

Street Traffic

Expect single lane closures and minor delays around work areas. Flaggers may direct traffic at times.
