Candidate contests for Multnomah County elected offices will not appear on the May 2026 ballot. They will next appear on the Nov. 3, 2026, ballot — when County voters will begin electing officials using ranked choice voting. The filing period for the November 2026 General Election opens on June 3, 2026.

• Sept 11, 2025 - First date to file for office
• March 3, 2026 - Filing deadline for elected incumbent candidates
• March 10, 2026 - Filing deadline for non-incumbent (new) and appointed incumbent candidates
• March 12, 2026 - County Voters' Pamphlet filing deadline for Candidate Statements
