About
The Steering and Oversight Committee brings together elected officials, leaders, experts, and community members to guide and resource the actions outlined in the Homelessness Response Action Plan.
Key responsibilities:
- Set strategy and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) based on recommendations from the Implementation Subcommittee.
- Monitor progress and performance toward goals.
- Ensure alignment of jurisdictional investments toward strategies and performance.
- Adjust annual goals at the completion of each year.
- Assess strategies based on performance as recommended by the Implementation Subcommittee; and review audits of the various components of the Homelessness Response System.

The second City of Portland seat (held by a member of the Portland City Council) will be announced soon.
Non-voting members

- Home Forward Executive Director Ivory Mathews
- Peter C. Andrews, chief operating officer of Melvin Mark Companies, who represents the Portland Metro Chamber
Selections are ongoing for two additional non-voting seats:
- A Multnomah County resident who lives outside Portland city limits who has paid the Supportive Housing Services income tax on high earners.
- A behavioral health expert who is not currently a contracted provider with Multnomah County or the City of Portland.
