The Youth Advisory Board uplifts the experiences and voices of youth across Multnomah County. We are youth ages 12-19 who strive to make long-lasting changes in our communities. We work on youth-lead projects that promote public health, with support from the Health Department’s Community and Adolescent Health program.
YAB is a great way to make a difference in your community and meet new people. You’ll gain project management experience, leadership skills and learn about public health.
Activities
We meet online year round, on the 2nd and 4th Monday of every month in the evening. We choose projects and set a schedule that works for us.
The opportunities are great, as together we decide what it is we would like to see happen in our communities.
Youth are compensated for their work.
