Project Description
This project will make a safer route along NE 223rd Ave from NE Halsey St to Fairview Elementary School. It will make 223rd safer for all users, including students going to school.
The planned work includes:
- New bike lanes
- New sidewalks on the west side of the road
- New ADA curb ramps
- New drainage and water treatment
- Improved street lighting
- Fresh pavement
This project is part of the Safe Routes to School program.
Traffic Impacts
During work hours, flaggers will direct traffic through single lane closures. Expect minor delays.
PGE will continue to relocate utility poles as the project moves ahead. No closures are required for this work, but flaggers may direct traffic at times.
