Project Information

  • Locations: Various intersections around East County
  • Schedule: Planned fall 2024 through spring 2025
  • Estimated Cost: $2.2m for this phase
  • Funding Source: County Roadway Funds

Project Description

We are replacing curb ramps around urban East Multnomah County. The new ramps will be in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. We will replace 39 older ramps with 53 new ones at 13 different intersections.

This is the first phase of a larger project to replace all non-compliant curb ramps on our county-maintained roads. It is a result of our 2023 ADA Transition Plan.

Traffic Impacts

Sidewalk Traffic

Most ramps will close for 1-2 weeks during the work. We will announce the schedule when it is set.

During ramp closures, signs and barriers will direct pedestrians to detours.

Street Traffic

Expect single lane closures and minor delays around work areas. Flaggers will direct traffic at times.
