Job description

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

  • Participate in the clinical evaluation and care of patients in individual and group appointments.
  • Develop assessment and treatment plans; order and administer tests, examinations, medications, and therapies; arrange for discharge and after care; write admission notes, progress notes, procedure notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Provide patient education and counseling covering health status, test results, disease procedures, and discharge planning.
  • Perform procedures under the direct supervision of attending clinical provider.
  • May provide support to clinical team in program development, program evaluation studies, grant conceptualization, scholarly publications, and development of marketing materials.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Perform the more routine duties as assigned with increasing independence.
  • Decisions made or actions taken require higher-level review and work is checked for progress and reviewed for quality and compliance to policy and procedures.
  • Typically, incumbents may use the entry level to obtain the proficiencies to qualify at the next level in the classification series.
  • Receive direction from manager or staff.
