Chair Deborah Kafoury released her proposed $2 billion budget on April 26, triggering five weeks of review, testimony and board deliberations before the final budget is adopted May 31.

Residents are invited to share their priorities with the board at any of the public events, scheduled for:

  • Wednesday, May 2, 6 to 8 p.m., IRCO: 10301 NE Glisan St, Portland, OR 97220 (view map). Interpretation will be available in Spanish, Russian, Somali and Vietnamese.
  • Wednesday, May 9, 6 to 8 p.m., Multnomah Building Boardroom: 501 SE Hawthorne Blvd., Portland, OR 97214 (view map).
  • Wednesday, May 16, 6 to 8 p.m., East County Building, Sharron Kelley Rooms: 600 NE 8th St., Gresham, OR 97030 (view map).

Testimony is limited to three minutes per person, unless otherwise designated by the Chair. No prior registration is required to testify; just fill out one of the testimony forms available at each hearing. People will be called to testify in the order the forms are submitted. Those in need of interpretation services or other accommodations should contact the Board Clerk at least 48 hours in advance, at 503-988-5274 or by email at boardclerk@multco.us.
